The Elevated Mind Project
Why Elevated Mind Project?
Conflict is a powerful force. It can polarise individuals and communities. It also holds immense potential.
Where there is conflict, there is tension, energised like electricity. When the circuit is skillfully closed, the potential of this energy can be applied to produce great outcomes.
By embracing conflict, working with it, learning from it, and bridging this potential, we can create better outcomes for the future.
I call this Conflict Innovation.
This platform is an experiment in exploring and understanding potential in everyday situations, eliciting and analysing different points of view, to mediate and reality-test the facts, opinions, and relationships between our communities' views and values.
To see the world as it is, not just as we are, we can apply a few guiding principles:
Curiosity
How can we learn from any situation? Are we asking the right questions? What is important?
Pursuit of Truth
When there are competing perspectives, how do we surface the genuine facts and values? Are the issues really the issues, or are they clues to help guide our path?
Future Focus
Regardless of the issue, moving forward towards positive outcomes is the goal. To strive toward a future that is better than today.
Open Mindedness
Be prepared to be wrong, and celebrate the learning opportunity when you are. Every correction means we now know something we didn't before.
The Elevated Mind Project is my project of discovery, taking techniques of innovation, critical thinking, and mediation to bridge the tension of conflict and seek opportunities for a better future.
The world is rarely black and white. With so much information and so many opinions, we need systems to document, measure and evaluate data points to reveal the bigger picture.
This is my experiment in doing just that.
